About PAARS

PAARS, which stands for the Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies, is an alliance of Arab radiology societies including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Algeria, Jordon, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Bahrain, Syria, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Sultanate Oman, Kuwait, Mauritania, Iraq, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia.

Established in 2004 under the name “Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies,” PAARS has been committed to enhancing the practice of radiology in the region by fostering unity and knowledge exchange among its member societies.

PAARS has played a pivotal role in establishing cooperation and collaboration among radiologists and technicians in the Arab nations. PAARS has taken upon itself the essential mission of training and qualifying professionals in the field of radiology. This mission is realized through a plethora of educational and scientific initiatives conducted throughout the year.

About RSE

The Radiology Society of the Emirates (RSE) has been an integral part of the healthcare landscape since its inception alongside the establishment of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA). Originally known as the Emirates Radiology Society, it underwent a transformative shift in 2014, rebranding itself as the Radiology Society of the Emirates (RSE) to carve out a distinct identity within the medical community.

Since its inception, the RSE has been steadfast in its commitment to understanding and meeting the evolving needs of the radiological community in the Emirates. The society’s annual meetings serve as a testament to this dedication, as it consistently strives to address the pressing issues facing the field. Over the years, the RSE has forged meaningful collaborations with renowned international bodies, including the European Society of Radiology (ESR), RSNA, ACR, KSR, RSSA, and the Egyptian Society of Radiology.

About the scientific program

Radiology has been on ever rising curve in terms of developing new modalities and techniques to add a value to patient care. Expediency & Exactness in service provision is name of the game when it comes to emergency medicine and prompt decision making. Emergency Radiology can bail us out in such situations.

Emergency Radiology is a crucial & critical component of any Radiology practice and has evolved into an indispensable clinical sub-specialty. It was therefore quite warranted to choose “Emergency Radiology” as a focal theme for our upcoming congress in Dubai under the collaborative banner of PAARS & RSE in 2025.

Multitudes of relevant topics will be covered in the congress either as a dedicated session of “Emergency Radiology” or immersed in other sub-specialty sessions. Certainly, as evident from overview of the program above, the congress is all encompassing and balanced to address hot topics and updates in modern Radiology.
